The New England Team Presents Check to VOW in Louisiana
It was with great pride that the VOW New England team presented the proceeds from the 2010 VOW golf event to the Voice of the Wetlands! It happened during the annual VOW festival in Houma, Louisiana in October.
Ray Harrison told the festival audience that people in New England care about Louisiana and its (America's) wetlands! The large check was given to Tab Benoit, who accepted it on behalf of VOW.
Thanks again to everyone who partipated in the June event and made it such a success.

The 2nd New England VOW Tournament is in the Books!
The second annual Tab Benoit Voice of the Wetlands golf tournament was held on June 6th at the Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island. The event took on added significance because of the then on-going catastrophe in and around the Gulf of Mexico.
It was a full day of activity, starting with a buffet lunch at the beautiful clubhouse. Then 75 golfers ventured out on a very gusty afternoon for a team scramble. The weather held out (but for a few raindrops, whew), the front passed, and it was on to the evening portion of the event.
More friends, fans and guests arrived and enjoyed a fantastic night of Cajun food, rockin' blues and dancing. Live and silent auctions, along with the previous night's raffle at Chan's, were very successful in raising funds for the Voice of the Wetlands non-profit organization.
$13,000 Raised — Surpassing Last Year!
After all was said and done — the event participants had raised a net contribution of $13,000.
There are many people to thank for the great results: volunteers, donors, sponsors, golfers, auction participants, and especially Tab, for his tireless work (and play!) on behalf of the Louisiana wetlands. Tournament results >
