Bernard J. Simbole has been practicing law in the Arlington, Virginia area since 1986. In 1985 he completed eight years of service as an assistant prosecuting attorney, in the trial division of the Wayne County (Detroit) Michigan Prosecuting Attorney's Office. During this period, Mr. Simbole worked exclusively as a trial attorney, developing professional skills of trial tactic and personal communication vital to influencing jury decisions. Also, Mr. Simbole became active in the local political process, supporting successful campaigns for judicial as well as congressional office. He was a candidate for local legislative office in 1980.
In developing a practice in Virginia and Washington, D.C., he has successfully applied his trial experience on a range of issues at both the federal and local level. This judicial practice has brought successful resolution in the U.S. Claims Court, the D.C. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts of Virginia and Washington, D.C., U.S. Bankruptcy Court, D.C. Superior Court, the Merit Systems Protection Board, and the Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince George's County Circuit Courts. Bernard J. Simbole, P.C. is a listed law firm of the Martindale-Hubbell law directory of 1996.
More recently Mr. Simbole has focused his practice in transactional work. He has received approved Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training in areas of estates, trusts, and federal estate taxation and document preparation. He is an approved real estate settlement attorney for transactions with Stewart Title and Escrow Company of Fairfax, Virginia. Corporate Client work includes litigation on contracts, debt collection, Internal Revenue Service representation, and bankruptcy. Individual client work includes personal injury litigation, estate and trust planning, tax return preparation, and formation of new businesses.
Currently, Mr. Simbole occasionally guest hosts a nationally syndicated radio talk show, "The BQ View" for Blanquita Cullum on the Radio America Network.
Mr. Simbole is an active member of the District of Columbia, and Virginia bars.
